The sight of food trucks pitching up by the Liss Pavilion could soon become a regular sight as a trial has begun. The patch off Station Road could be a tasty proposition for caterers, with no fees being charged by Liss Parish Council.

Simply Hog Roast, which often pitches up in Greatham, Bordon and Petersfield, surprised many residents by rolling up last Tuesday. Cllr Andy Smith hopes more will follow but appearances are likely to be dependent on foodstuff so established village eateries won’t be affected.

“A couple of people have been interested and I think it will be something good for the village if we get food trucks coming in there,” said Cllr Andy Tree last Monday.
