One of Penzance’s most iconic buildings is to undergo a complete transformation after being acquired by the community. Market House at the top of Market Jew Street was bought by Penzance Regeneration Company(PRC), a not-for-profit company, which has been established by local stakeholders, thanks to funding from the Government’s Town Deals.
Penzance is one of four towns in Cornwall along with St Ives, Camborne and Truro, to receive financial support from the Government. The £21.5m the town has now received will fund a series of regeneration projects including turning the Grade-I listed building into a real community asset for the future.
