Katana Katsu is a brand that serves ‘Yoshoku’ Sando Sandwiches. These are sandwiches that are popular in Japan for their taste, ease of access, and for being filling. Our brand mission is to popularize this dish in London and bring an alternative to the fast-food market. After thorough market research we understood that there is a gap in the market for this street food item and we know that people do enjoy the Sandos since our main and only competitor ‘Stacksando’ has 3 delivery locations across London.

We initially planned to start as a ghost kitchen brand but having had experience in that industry we have decided that the most effective way to grow would be by having our offerings in street food markets and be one-to-one with the customer which will allow us to build a strong long-lasting brand identity. It would also be ideal if we can simultaneously do delivery through third-party platforms.
