An inaugural Street Food Collective event held in Inverness went down such a treat there are hopes it could become a regular occurrence.

Three fast-foot outlets – Bad Girl Bakery, Cheese and Tomatin and Redshank Catering Co – got together to organise the three-day event in the High Street.

Douglas Hardie of Bad Girl Bakery said: “It was really good and there was a lovely buzz about the place and the feedback from people was really positive.

“Workers in the nearby shops and offices were really pleased to see us, not just the passing public, for example the entire TSB staff and a nearby hairdressers’ had treats from us.

“With the High Street buskers and the farmers’ market there on the Saturday as well, the place was jumping.

“Because of the time of year it was hard to gauge what effect the collective had individually on city centre trade because it was an amazingly busy weekend with shoppers, but it would be lovely to be able to do it again in the future.”
