Lukumade Dougnut Tales
Lukumade is the joining of the words Lukumas and Homemade.
Lukumas is a traditional Mediterranean sweet of fried doughie goodness!
We are a family run operation and have just recently refurbished a vintage caravan for the purpose of selling our gramma’s Greek recipe of the traditional sweet – Lukumas, topped with honey, cinnamon and walnuts.
We have a put a new spin on the initial recipe by adding various fillings and toppings, such as praline, jam, Lottus Biscoff, maple syrup and more. Depending on demand, we have even taken a step further and transformed our Lukuma into breakfast (adding eggs and bacon) and lunch – creating our own unique Doughnut Burger, using products that come directly from Kentish farms.
Myself and my husband have lived in London for more than 10 years and never found a Lukuma trader. Hence we decided to make our own and we are looking for markets where adventurous food lovers will welcome another world food.
